Te Whare Whakaruruhau Webinar 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Monday 18 August

This Te Whare Whakaruruhau session will be following the theme of language as a driver for change. In this webinar, we will explore the power of declarative language — a communication style that promotes reflection, connection, and curiosity by sharing observations rather than issuing directives. Closely aligned with trauma-informed practice, declarative language supports co-regulation, executive function, and social reciprocity. This session offers practical strategies, reflective pātai, and tools for using language intentionally to support relational and inclusive teaching practice. Looking forward to seeing you.
