MindPlus Clubs
Have you heard of MindPlus Clubs?
MindPlus Clubs is a free online learning platform developed by the Neurodiversity in Education Project for New Zealand students in Years 2–10. It provides interest-based online clubs where students can explore areas such as science, creative writing, coding, art, reading, and design alongside peers with similar passions. Through self-paced projects, challenges, and discussions, students are encouraged to develop their strengths, curiosity, and independence in a safe, moderated environment.
For RTLB, MindPlus Clubs can be a valuable strength-based intervention for gifted and neurodivergent learners, particularly those whose learning needs are not fully met through the regular classroom programme. By connecting students with like-minded peers and providing opportunities for enrichment, Clubs can enhance engagement, motivation, and a sense of belonging.
