CPS in West Auckland
Happy New Lunar FireHorse Year everyone - it’s going to be a fast (faster than 2025?), energetic year with lots of fireworks!!
SharIng some positive CPS news from West Auckland:
One of our school Principals has been trained as a Certified Provider in CPS and she has started to run workshops with her staff as well as staff from neighboring schools. This has happened in four schools now. One of our RTLBs has also trained as a Certified Provider and is part of this training roll-out in schools, together with the liaison RTLBs.
The schools’ plan is to do this school-wide and it is creating quite a positive buzz with teachers!!
Three schools have signed up with Lives in the Balance to do the Coaching training. They are the schools’ Senior Leadership Team and Team Leaders. They had their first session yesterday and I heard that they were excited and keen to learn more.
The RTLB service has been very much part of this initiative through planning and funding (Learning Support Fund contribution to the training). While the Principals are leading the implementation, RTLBs have been supporting the meetings, especially during the ASUP activity working with class teachers.

Sounds so exciting Eng-Leong! So great to hear excitement from our school leaders, especially when there is a lot of change happening for them. Doubly great to have RTLB sitting alongside and supporting this approach. Look forward to hearing updates. Maybe at the forum?
