Bringing FREE high-quality AI literacy to every school, every teacher, and every learner in Aotearoa New Zealand very soon.

After a successful pilot in Term 4, Day of AI is coming to New Zealand in Term 1, 2026.

Day of AI New Zealand, is a free, hands-on AI literacy programme designed and localised for Aotearoa, aligned with Te Ao Māori values. Developed with MIT RAISE and Day of AI Australia and co-designed with local education partners (TENZ, EPIT, Westlake Girls’ High School), with NZCER, supporting evaluation, the programme reflects our cultural context and learning priorities. Resources will be hosted on the EPIT AI Community of Practice!

Flexible, classroom-ready lessons and teacher support make the programme accessible to all schools, regardless of location or digital access. Free and openly licensed for all schools. Open to Year 5 - 10. Nationwide release coming soon (Term 1 2026). Register your interest for 2026.
