This professional development program helps Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) support schools to create inclusive, strengths-based learning environments for ākonga with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). It builds understanding of the varied strengths, challenges, and neurodevelopmental needs associated with FASD, then applies this knowledge to classroom design, behaviour support, teaching practice, and collaborative planning. Grounded in the RTLB Aotearoa commitment to whanaungatanga, the program equips participants to work alongside teachers, whānau, learners, and specialist services so that support is practical, respectful, and sustainable within New Zealand schools.
