PROFILE

I have been an RTLB for eight years after teaching at Lawrence Area school across multiple year groups for 25 years

I am interested in the science of Reading and the science of learning as well as understanding how our brain enables us to learn.

I am the mother of four daughters with ADHD and my husband also has ADHD. This is a particular passion of mine as my daughters are all adults now who are very articulate and can tell me how my language affects how they feel.

Recently I completed my master of specialist teaching in developmental language disorder -DLD. Spreading awareness of this is another huge passion as many teachers have never heard of DLD and don’t know how to recognise it or how to support students with it in the classroom.
